Alternatives to SED-TV
Can’t wait till the new SED-TV’s; we have a bunch of alternatives that will satisfy any consumer’s appetites.
1) Plasma screen televisions are the current popular sellers in the flat-panel displays. Plasma TV’s offer consumers a great display at any viewing angle, beautiful picture quality on a thin panel. Plasmas tend to be priced below the LCD’s and higher than the DLP’s and the CRT. Check out our sister site for plasma TV reviews at http://www.reviews-plasma-tv.com/.
2) LCD or liquid crystal display is used in flat screens and are known for areas which have bright lighting such as sunlight. LCD operates more efficiently than the DLP and Plasmas in rich lighting conditions. LCD-TV’s are still a little more expensive then plasmas, but the gap is slowly shrinking. Check out our sister site for reviews, www.reviews-lcd-tv.com.
3) DLP or digital light processing uses projectors to process the image. DLP’s have been in commercialization long before the plasma and LCD. In different viewing angles, the image display on some DLP’s are not as consistent as the LCD or plasma. Consumers can buy large screen DLP’s at price that is cheaper than the plasma or LCD. The DLP monitors are heavier and larger in depth than the LCD or Plasma. DLP’s do offer a healthy alternative for budget conscious consumers who want a large screen display.
